  Islamabad traffic police introduce new digital smart driving licence THE IG Islamabad has launched a new digital driving licence equipped with all the latest security features. An individual with all biometric information will be included in each driving license to help verify the driver's identity. The new license will soon be linked to the database of THE NADRA AND EXCISE department. A new driving licence has been introduced in the capital on Tuesday, March 09, 2021, with a smart chip installed, an Islamabad police spokesman said. The spokesman said That The Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG), Islamabad, introduced a new driving licence— with state-of-the-art security features. "In case of [an] emergency in the new license, all data will be recorded through chip, it was available at the same fee as the previous license, the spokesman said.
